An early representation of why Trapman was so called upon to shoot kids. Around the time of the Hovis commercials, it needed to exude all sorts of emotional draw down. This was definitely done in the vein of period piece, haunting past times that made the Hovis commercials such iconic ads.
If I told you it was a teaser for a tobacco company you will realise how times have changed without the hark back references. But all in all a shoot I was proud of photographically

This was in the days of Anscochrome, A film made by GAF that was so popular by such users as Sarah Moon, one of my heroes. I loved it as it gave such a Pointillistic feel to each image. You could abuse it in development, crush the D-Max and still get a beautiful shot

Les Sources de Celestins Vichy was a recreation of the Années Dorée Grand Tour years of the late 1800s.
Commissioned by Vichy to promote their natural spring water it was a joy to recreate a period so rich in elegance in an environment that had not changed one bit.
It seems today there are all sorts of plastic protection boards and c rime preventing nonsense. This image captures it before present day overkill.
